Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is releasing on the heels of 2020's Marvel's Avengers and unfortunately for the Guardians that is setting expectations for this game in a complicated spot.
Lost in Random
Throughout my gameplay of Lost in Random I had the constant feeling of familiarity. This sense never correlated to one thing, but a medley of other gaming and film experiences.
Marvel’s Avengers
When I first heard about a brand new AAA Avengers video game, I was thrilled. When I Iater found out that it was a Destiny-like game as a service, I was concerned. That concern was validated when I abstained from picking it up at launch and watched reviews roll in.
Immortals Fenyx Rising
Not many games can capture the magic and child-like wonder that Breath of The Wild promises. Unfortunately for Ubisoft’s Immortals Fenyx Rising, beyond the first few hours the magic fades.
Destruction AllStars
It’s not that Destruction AllStars lacks creativity. The problem is that the creative prowess of the developers is flexed in areas that do not keep players engaged. This effort was instead put towards phenomenal character and vehicle design, but not towards the actual gameplay.

Habroxia 2
Habroxia 2 takes elements from classic shoot ‘em up games (shmups) and combines them masterfully in a modern and approachable way. I haven’t delved deep into a game like this in over fifteen years and it's a genre that doesn’t usually attract me. This aversion to shmups has been challenged and permanently changed due to my refreshing experience with Habroxia 2.
Super Meat Boy Forever
Super Meat Boy Forever is an unconventional sequel that removes the traditional controls of a 2D platformer in favor of an auto-run two button approach. It looks and sounds like the original, but initially it could not feel further from it.
Nine Witches: Family Disruption
If you love major historical events turned overly satirical and then injected with paranormal activity, Vikings, and raves... then you will love Nine Witches.
